This particular new Piano tutor for very little pianists from 4 to 7 years is really wonderful and entertaining. I would thank the author Chantal Muller-Simmerling as well as Combre-Lemoine Editions, Paris, because of her presentation copy of this new English version. I will use it in my lessons at Ferrara's Conservatory (Italy) for my Propaedeutic' s Piano Course. "The Rainbow Piano" effectively combines piano and music theory in a magic mix. The jumbo size rainbow colored notes are pleasant and so amusing that the book himself turns out to be very attractive for the little pupils. All favorite French Songs are so nice and agreable that to play the piano will be funny, a great joy in playing and improving music. For instance, I could suggest "In the moonlight" pg.8 where my little pupil Mario , 4, tells me "wow...the notes seem like many little colored moons!!!...". And at pg.28 "A hen on a wall" my little pianist Daniel, 5, imitates a hen walking or pecking in the classroom and on the keyboard.
All these sound to me very joyfully!!
