I've developed an affection for short stories as of late, especially in the horror genre. I blame re-reading Stephen King, for this, a true master at both long novels and short stories. So when I find a new collection, even by a new author, regardless of some of the previous reviews, I give them a try. Which brings me to this book.I read this book and actually waited awhile before I sat down to write this review. I was all set to give a much lower rating, when I happened upon the authors biography. After reading that, and finding out how young she is, I changed my review.
This is not a bad collection of short stories. In fact I see great potential in this author. I think that as she get a little older, has more life experience as well as writing experience, we will see some really good stuff......just not this book. I will say that for the most part, the stories kept my interest. And I did finish the book, although I almost didn't. I don't want this review to either discourage potential readers, because it is interesting. I also don't want the author to think that I'm criticizing her, because as I said, I think she has talent. I do hope to read future books, although I might wait awhile before I read her next one.

The whole series overall is wonderful. The author herself is a talented writer and I would highly recommend buying it to anyone who is a fan of horror/slasher short stories!
These tales are definitely sinister, but in the best way possible. So many of the tales are connected, and have amazing plot twists. Each tale keeps you on your toes Furthermore, each and every tale differs from the next, so it never gets boring. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes the horror genre!
These were so far the most interesting stories I've ever read.
I wish that it wasn't so, but the stories left me feeling unsatisfied and ill-used. Better luck next time, I suppose.
These stories are mind blowing, I love them all!
For Anna to be so young, she really does a good job telling a hair raising story. It's hard to get a story told in just a few pages but Anna gets it done. If you like blood and guts, this book is for you.
I would love this book, truly. I didn't realize it was a young YA book, and I mean young, when I downloaded it. Plenty of gore, plenty of scary things that go (literally) bump in the night, and plenty of ideas that will keep you awake at night.
