Albert Malleus was the greatest captain in Fleet history-before his disgrace. Just to preface this review: I'm not really a science fiction fan. However, this book was both poetic and philosophical and deeply driven by the human drama of life as experienced by a wide range of characters both deep and comical. It seems that space has been used as a stark and terrifying backdrop to expose the truth about each character as they face the most daunting of natural environments. It is well researched, symbolic and the descriptions paint such beautiful pictures. It is an adventure story about a vagabond captain and his crew and the great lie they discover running through all they rely on and were taught to believe. The end was profoundly moving and unexpected. I think this book could be enjoyed by a wide range of readers! Challenge yourself to something very different and you will be glad you went along for the ride. Will you reach Vernovum with the intrepid Captain Malleus? ;)Product details

This is for sure the most amazing novel I have read in my life... It might surprise you, but it is very rare that I will find a very good science fiction book that will really interest me and keep me motivated to read it more... This book from the beginning makes you want to read more and also it is so well written and with a lot of wisdom into it. I say it is a masterpiece and I'm really glad I bought this book. I'm waiting for the next book from Mr. Zepf. Thank you so much for writing this, I'm really happy and it will make a great gift for friends and family for Christmas ) For those that can read English because not all my family and friends speak well English ;)

i enjoyed the story.I am a fan of scifi. For me there was perhaps a a little too much technical detail but I,m sure others enjoyed this aspect of the story
This book was so gripping. I could not put it down. Finished in 2 1/2 days. Funny at times; I laughed out loud. The dialogue was very snappy. I must say I never ever pick up sci-fi novels but on a recommendation, I'm sorry but I forget from whom, I decided to give this a try. And I'm so glad I did.
The spiritual aspect was very touching, not preachy or forced; it fit the story perfectly.
I really can't wait for the next book. Looking forward with much anticipation.
"Razorback Premonition" is a fantastic read! Very well-written, fascinating characters, and enough technical accuracy in the new space world to set a realism that is intriguing and maybe prophetic..? I admit to not being a normal reader of the SciFi genre for the lack of realism I often see there, but this book won me over pretty quickly.
One follows the main character on an epic adventure both within and without. This isn't a drippy, finding-yourself read, this is hard and personal and bears the external challenges to make it all happen in a realistic and identifiable fashion.
A must-read for any lover of deep characters and/or SciFi.
This book is amazing on so many levels. It is science fiction but so much more. The main character si deeply flawed, but aren't we all? He is flawed but also thoughtful and a hero. There are undercurrents of faith and modernism, all wrapped up in an exciting story. A must read!!!
Highly recommend! Wonderful book. Great main character. I have read a LOT of SF in my time, and this one is right up there. Really moves along, and I really like the main character. I don't believe many people even know about this book. Wonder how the word will get out, though.
